The Otech Channel Feed Lateral can be designed to cover up to 1100m width, and deal with a high flow rate of up to 20 meg/day. Otech’s R&D has developed an on-board diesel pumping unit, with a low power and pressure requirement to run the lateral at the lowest cost possible.

Otech Channel Feed Laterals have been used successfully in Australia to irrigate summer and winter crops; wheat, barley, maize, canola, cotton and sugar cane. Many Australian irrigation farms have been set up for flood irrigation, featuring rectangular paddocks, sometimes several kilometres long, and surrounded by a network of open air channels. The Channel Feed Lateral offers to these farms the opportunity to upgrade to a water and time efficient irrigation system.
